General Information
All campers must be Full or Basic Members. A $50.00 deposit per session (excluding specialty camps), per child is necessary to hold a place. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable between sessions. Register for a minimum of 6 weeks and receive $50 off the 6th week. Please call 908-889-8880 for further information.

Camp  Weeto-Wewanchu




Kids entering pre-K 3 & 4 and Kindergarten. Make your child’s first camp experience a positive one! Our preschool camp is for children wishing to go to camp, but not yet ready for a full day. Our camp features age-appropriate activities, designed to encourage physical and social development, along with character development. Each week a new theme is introduced, which includes the following activities: Instructional swim lessons, arts and crafts projects, sports and games, music and movement, story time, science and nature, and cooking. Pack a lunch Monday-Thursday, we’ll picnic together... Friday, lunch is provided by the YMCA. Children MUST be toilet trained. Please call Kathy Barros at 908.322.7600 for more information. Camp  Makawakmo


 
 Kids entering grades 1st - 4th. In this camp, your camper will explore the adventures of a traditional day camp in an indoor and outdoor setting. Campers will participate in a wide variety of activities throughout the day. Swim lessons are offered each day Mon -Thurs. Fridays will be field trip day for grades 3-4 to places such as Sesame Place, Dorney Park, Liberty Science Center, & more while grades 1-2 will stay on site for a special event/guest.
Kids can sign up for a specialty camp in addition to their daily camp program to enhance their camping experience. The Speciality Camp will run Monday through Thursday from 9am to 12 noon. Children will then rejoin their camp group for lunch, swim and traditional camp activities in the afternoon.

Adventure Camp

 

 

Kids entering grades 5-6. Campers are grouped by age and travel to new and exciting attractions daily throughout NJ, NY & PA. Each week is comprised of an amusement park trip, water park trip, lake trip, beach trip and sporting event or museum/educational trip. Location: Terrill Middle School for drop off & pick up daily.

Crossroads


 

Kids entering grades 7-9. Campers are grouped by age and travel to new and exciting attractions daily throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Each week is comprised of an amusement park trip, water park trip, lake trip, beach trip and sporting event or museum/educational trip. In addition to daily trips there is one overnight camping trip per week. The calendar of trips will be available online in February of actual trips scheduled. 
Location: Terrill Middle School for drop off and pick up daily.

(CIT) Program

 

Leaders-in Training (LIT) Program

 

 


Counselor in Training: Kids entering grade 9-10. This camp focuses on leadership skills & address topics such as communication, trust and responsibility. Campers will be taught the skills needed to work with children. All campers will have the opportunity to receive their CPR and First Aid certifications. The goal of this camp is to develop the skills necessary to become a successful camp counselor. Location: Martine Ave. Facility. See below for dates, times and cost. 

Leaders in Training: Kids entering grade 9-10. Join the YMCAs leadership program where participants learn the components to become a true leader for the YMCA. Program features daily volunteering with the YMCAs Camp Weeto-Wewanchu (a camp for 3-5 year olds), CPR and First Aid Certifications,and the chance to join the YMCA leaders club at a week long leadership training. ocation: Martine Ave. Facility. Triathlon Camp for Kids Ages 11-13 

 

 

This NEW Camp runs for 4 weeks, with each week focusing on the sports that make up a triathlon (swim, bike, and running).  Along with working out, campers will swim, bike, run, strength train, and stretch with yoga and Pilates. Participants will learn about transitions, nutrition, preparation for race day, and try brick (combo) work-outs. Bring lunch.  Healthy snacks will be prepared by campers with a Registered Dietitian. Open to boys and girls in separate sessions.  Camp runs from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday thru Thursday.  May sign up for one, two, or all three weeks.  All campers can participate in a Mini-Tri at the end of week 4 on Friday August 6th.

Challenger Soccer 
(Kramer Manor Park)

Each day your player will receive high level soccer coaching from international experts. This soccer camp includes foot skills, drills, games and a daily World Cup Challenge! 

Tennis (Kramer Manor Park) 
6/28 to 7/2 or 
7/5 to 7/9

Through group instruction, staff will teach strokes, footwork and shot placement. Match play includes singles and doubles and is designed to help campers apply the stroke techniques that they have learned to a match situation. Bring a racquet.

Mad Science (YMCA Martine Ave Facility) 
7/12 to 7/16 

Students explore the mysteries of the solar system and the science behind air & space travel. Children discover not only how astronauts get into space, but also how they live and work once they get there. In this advance space program, we will investigate unique flying machines, including building balloon-copters, boomerangs and a mini hovercraft as take home projects for the children. Most importantly, they learn first hand about the aerodynamic properties of flying machines by building their own Estes® model rockets! Once the rockets are completed, children will blast off on a real Mad Science space mission Live Rocket Launches!

Karate Camp (Kramer Manor Park) 
7/12 to 7/16 or 8/9 to 8/13 

Led by Karate in Motion Martial Arts experts, your child will learn routines, kick drills, strategy games and obstacle courses with discipline training.

Lights, Camera, Action (YMCA Martine Ave Facility) 
7/19 to 7/23 or 8/16to 8/20 

Explore the world of theater, creating characters, dialogue, dance step, and scenery. The week culminates into an actual performance

All Sports- Skills & Drills (Kramer Manor Park) 
7/19 to 7/23 or 8/16 to 8/20

Here's your chance to play a variety of sports in one week. Through practice drills, scrimmages and tournaments, all-sports camp emphasizes the fun of learning about different kids of sports & developing positive attitudes about competition. 

Lacrosse Camp 
(Kramer Manor Park) 
7/26 to 7/30 or 8/2 to 8/6

Mike Robel’s Lacrosse Academy experts will work with every camper teaching the following skills: shooting, ground balls, fast breaks, dodging and stick skills. No prior experience necessary, a fun intro to lacrosse for younger campers. Older campers will work on developing more advanced skills. Young campers must bring their own lacrosse stick; older campers must bring their own stick plus pads, helmet & gloves.

Artist’s Studio 
(YMCA Martine Ave Facility) 7/26 to 7/30

"Art From Across the World": Explore different cultures through art! Students will paint aboriginal art, weave african cloths, create Asian paintings, sculpt Mexican folk art and more. Students will work on multiple projects in a day with a break in the middle for snack and a short playtime.
For Middle Schoolers: Polymer Clay Studio: Students will sculpt miniature characters, beads and accessories from this awesome material.

 

Mad Science 
(YMCA Martine Ave Facility) 
8/2 to 8/6 

Join us for a fun-filled week of science experiments and totally cool science projects that ROCK! Children will experiment by making ooey, gooey slime and Mad Science Putty. They will also take part in an Indoor Fireworks demonstration while learning about light and color. Lastly, All students will become science sleuths as they investigate how chemistry provides evidence at the scene of a crime as well as build their own electromagnet.

Artist’s Studio

"Animalia: An art class for the love of animals": Students will create artwork of all different animals through drawing, painting & sculpture. For Middle Schoolers: “Drawing on Mythology”: Dragons! Ogres! Wizards and more! Drawing and painting projects on mythological or imagined creatures.
