is the YMCA’s bold approach to directly address the unhealthy behaviors that have led to an epidemic of obesity and related chronic disease in the United States. The mission compels all YMCAs to transform the way they work to support all kids, adults, families, and communities in their pursuit of well-being in spirit, mind, and body. The following special offerings will help you take the first (or next) step toward better health.

7th Grade Initiative

All 7th graders in our service area are entitled to a free membership during their 7th grade year at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA. Parents must accompany students to take out the membership. A list of what is available with the membership is at our member service desk.

Livestrong at the Y

June 19th - Yoga-Facelifts - Here's a chance to bring your best face forward without surgical intervention. Come and learn various facial exercise to help develop facial muscle tone and improve circulation and skin tone. We'll have lots of fun doing Yoga facial exercises that should fit into your daily regimen. Offered by Pamela McAvinue.
