NEW! DIABETES EDUCATION/EXERCISE SERIES FOR BOTH SESSIONS
This class meets 2 separate times per week, Monday 9:00- 10:00am and Wednesdays at 7:00-8:00pm. Each class will have a half hour of Diabetes Education, followed by a half hour of exercise. Classes are all taught by a Registered Dietitian/Person Trainer. Topics will include the: Basics of Diabetes care, the relationship of Diet and Exercise to blood sugar, weight control and meal planning. FINE ARTS WEEK
National YMCA Arts week will celebrate from Sunday, September 29th, 2013 to Saturday, October 5th, 2013. Our Y will be honoring the arts this week with a variety of events with artists from the visual arts, literary arts and the culinary arts. “LET’S MOVE” FITNESS CHALLENGE"
September 9 - November 15 - 10 weeks
You have 10 weeks to tally up 100 fitness points. To obtain points, attend a class, swim laps in the pool, work out in our wellness center, weigh in weekly with our weight loss challenge, walk 10,000 steps in one day, eat 5 fruits and vegetables in one day and other healthy challenges. Receive 1 point for each accomplishment, tally them up, receive a free shirt and enter your name in a drawing to win a free personal training session and a free nutritional consult. This Y Personal Fitness Program is designed for anyone interested in making a lasting lifestyle change by incorporating fitness into their normal routine. If you have difficulty getting to the “Y” regularly, this program is for you. This program provides you with a structured fitness program that will gradually add on new exercises. Work with our wellness coaches to keep you on track. Can be done in the Wellness Center, group exercise classes or in the pool. Call Sheri at 908-889-8880 for more information.
BREAST IMAGING LECTURE
October 17th-7:30pm at the Y –Dr. Sue Jane Grosso will talk about the use of mammography, when to start, how often, and what type, digital vs analog. Dr. Grosso will also discuss the use of ultrasound and MRI as an adjunct to mammographic imaging. Open to Community. Register at the Member Service Desk.

Join other men & women members in training for triathlons and other multi-sport events in our area. Great opportunity to meet a new training partner, gather information and share experiences.
